ACT-2: The End of Starting Over
About This Talk
Explore ACT-2 and why robot learning shouldn't mean starting over with every new task or embodiment. Sunday Co-Founder & CTO Cheng Chi, inventor of Diffusion Policy, discusses next-generation robotics stacks spanning data collection through ML pipelines. Presented at Actuate, Foxglove's annual robotics developer conference.
Speaker
Cheng Chi, Co-Founder & CTO, Sunday
Cheng earned his B.S. in CS from the University of Michigan and PhD in CS from Columbia University, advised by Shuran Song. A leading robotics researcher, he invented Diffusion Policy, a seminal work that has been widely adopted across industry and academia. His research has earned two Best Paper Awards and two Best Systems Paper Finalist honors at top international conferences. At Sunday, Cheng leads the technical vision and has architected a next-generation robotics stack — from data collection infrastructure to machine learning pipelines — building the core systems that drive the company's robotics platform.
